Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, and just-off opaque. Quiet and relatively inarticulate, but clean, with cool black fruits in softly mentholated style. Not notably more articulate than the second wine, but perhaps we do need to wait here. Vivid, fresh, moderately concentrated, with successful, fresh ripeness backed by a little fine tannin. Quiet and unshowy but satisfying, and clearly riper and more charming than the Charme on the palate. | 89
Michael Schuster | Lightly aromatic blackcurrant Cabernet nose; medium-full, brisk in acidity, firm in tannin—a long-term prospect; crisply ripe flavor, somewhat dominated by its acid and tannin frame for the moment; classically St-Estèphe chewy in texture, added to by the year’s acidity. Plenty here, but needing plenty of time, too. 2027–35+. | 87
