BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett: Palest lemon-gold. Alluring, very evocative and fragrant nose of fleurs blanches, lime blossom, and nectarine. Medium-bodied, lithe, and supple, beautifully poised, with much greater fruit intensity, purity, and vivacity than most M_con wines at this level, and mouthwatering for the vintage. Good, even length across the mid-palate and finish. Although described as being Ågin effect the second wine of the Pouilly-Fuiss_ La Roche,Åh this is superior to many a grand vin. It may not have quite the richness of the La Roche, but at a little over half the price, it is much more than half the wine, and represents even better value
