Soft, harmonious, even if you have to search to find the curranty fruit. Smooth, and again the dry notes typical of less propitiously sited St-Emilions this year, though the ripeness is fully in evidence. Some firm tannins, too, and solid, workmanlike plum- currant flavors. A sound if fundamentally simple wine for swift drinking. | 87
