BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Saturated, dense color. Rich, oaky, and a little marked by high alcohol on the nose. But backed up by plum and damson fruit, some raspberry sweetness and fresh acidity. Slightly lacking mid-palate weight but appealing minerality. | 15

Alex Hunt | Advanced color for four years old—slightly bricky in comparison to the rest. A neat aromatic mixture of sweet plummy fruit and savory/rocky notes. The palate is maturing rapidly, though, and seems a little threadbare. | 13

Stephan Reinhardt | Purple color. Wild and pure nose, musty, still young and reductive, with dominant earthy, pure dark-fruit flavors; a rather cool climate Blaufränkisch, deep and complex yet far from being at its peak. Silky, very pure and well balanced, concise yet fine acidity; a little bit of Brett toward the finish, very spicy and still extremely young. Needs to be decanted or stored for another five years or so. | 16
