BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Inky, youthful color, with a hint of development at the rim. High alcohol, jammy, reductive, and a little scrawny at the same time. A wine where there is no there there... | 12

Alex Hunt | A lot of spicy-caramel oak here, to the exclusion of all else on the nose. The fruit seems watery, slightly overripe, and very soft. A loose, low-energy wine. | 12

Stephan Reinhardt | Dark purple color. Very pure and still musty on the nose, with polished cassis aromas, nice concentration, spicy and natural, ripe dark-berry and earthy scents. Silky and powerful, with lots of cassis flavors, good acidity (from slate soil?), and vibrancy. Terroir-driven, well balanced, and with good length. Seemingly from a cool climate. | 16.5
