Stephen Brook | Robust apple-and-lime nose, aromatic but not overly pretty. Lean attack, assertive, very high acidity, a bit of a shock to the system but has fine intensity and drive. It’s a touch skinny and lacks some body and weight. This is well crafted, and though the wine is good now, I suspect it will be better once the vines are older. Long sweet-and-sour finish. | 16.5
Andrew Jefford | Pale gold in color. Fresh, sweet, pure, baby-down scents; a little talc-dusted orchard fruit. Lots of tangerine, given time in the glass. Pure, vivid, pithy, grapefruit-dry; balanced and harmonious; medium-length, with attractively fruity acidity. Just a faint grapefruit-pith bitterness at the end to cleanse the palate. It’s perhaps a little military and abrupt in style, without much resonance of flavor, but that’s probably a quibble; in every other respect, this is good Riesling. | 15.5
Stephan Reinhardt | Citrus colored. Clear, fresh, and intense lime aromas on the nose, nice ripeness of Riesling grapes. Racy attack on the palate, powerful and dense/meaty on the palate, fruit-driven. The tart acidity stands out, though. Green apples in the aftertaste. Quite short. | 13
