Stephen Brook | Lush mango-and-lime nose. Broad and plump, with good, perhaps excessive, weight of fruit. Lacks some freshness and lift and seems quite evolved. This has only moderate acidity, and there’s little fl air or drive. Enjoyable but rather dull in the context of other Rieslings. | 14
Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. Rather shy orchard fruits, but they are there if you search for them. Give them time, and I’m sure you’ll have a happy outcome; they are very elegant, pure, and pristine. An ideal Riesling nose, save for its chronic shyness. On the palate, this wine is a little less concentrated than many in the tasting, with limpidity and grace. The fruits are early-season orchard (apple and white peach); there’s a little grassiness, too, but it works well here. | 16
Stephan Reinhardt | Pale gold. Spicy and pure aromas of citrus fruits. Good finesse on the palate, but it currently lacks a core, a mid-palate. Seems to be rather light-bodied, but in the finish there is a lack of fruit density and length. | 13
