Stephen Brook | Some maturity on the nose: lime, apple compote. Supple and rounded, with just a hint of flab. There is acidity, but it seems edgy and not integrated into the wine. Nor does it give persistence and verve. There’s just a hint of sweetness on the finish, and this seems close to maturity. Medium length. | 14.5
Andrew Jefford | Mid-gold in color. Some nice developed Riesling notes here, as the fruits settle down into a more autumnal frame of mind. Not hugely detailed, but satisfying and harmonious. Vivid, soft, and full: suddenly a very different style here, with surely a little residual sugar to round things out. That’s fine, but the flavors somehow are now a little flat-footed and clunky; they’ve lost their poise and purity. Not a wine I’d be in a hurry to drink. | 12
Stephan Reinhardt | Pale gold. Ripe and sweet fruit aromas, English wine gummy. Elegant on the palate, quite rich and powerful, quite well balanced. Slightly sweet on the aftertaste. | 14.
