Neil Beckett: Medium-ruby, not the most intense, though there is little significance in that. An ethereal nose, still more magical than the other Clos de Bèze cuvée, from this parcel of special vines separately vinified since 2010, and equally sublime on the palate. There are actually abundant, firm, even massive tannins underneath, but there is such exquisite refinement that there is the impression of weightlessness. Another long feather in the already very feathered caps of Erwan Faiveley, Bernard Hervet, and technical director Jérôme Flous, who have brought about the exciting renaissance at this leading house. 19
