Michael Schuster: Mid-purple; gently smoky oak above the subtle, ripe fruit; rich, beautifully defined, fresh and concentrated middleweight with the hallmark fineness of tannin of all these wines; prolonged, sweet, fleshy, a gentle, racy energy across the palate, and with a most lovely, prolonged, subtly fruit saturated and throat-coating persistence. A touch more masculine than the Echézeaux, with more concentration, fruit core, sweetness, sinew... if not quite as haunting a perfume! Magnificent fruit purity, class, transparency. 2024–45+. 19/19.5
