Neil Beckett: Only Landanger’s fourth vintage from this most romantically named and recherché Chambolle premier cru but already one of its most accomplished interpretations: neither puppy love nor tough love, but an ever-fixed mark, serious and strong. A dark cherry core, darkly fruited on the nose and still rather submerged at this very early stage, but the promise is revealed on the palate: great purity and strength, refinement and structure, sheer beauty of flavor and excellent length. As long as these qualities can be captured in bottle, this will be outstanding. 18
