Neil Beckett: Very pale gold. Deeper, at once more exotic and more subtle than the Découverte, but with a similarly deft use of oak. Light quince, faintest pineapple, positive and precise. Less assertive on the attack than the Découverte, gentler, but very seductive, perfectly crisp-ripe palate, impressive density and suavity of texture and intensity of flavor, great overall harmony and richness, well-sustained mid-palate, with sheer beauty of flavor, and a long, strong finish of numbing concentration. Wonderful. 17.5
