Nicolas Belfrage: Medium-deep, bright. A good measure of classic rose and tar on the nose. Reinforced on the palate, though perhaps a touch overripe. But there is still good balance overall. Drink from 2018. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. Forthcoming but slightly pruney, dry, sweet, and constrained. Lacks the aromatic resonance of a great wine. The palate reflects the aromatic profile: This is deeply constituted but slightly sweet in terms of its fruit spectrum, despite supporting ripe acidity and generous tannins. Barolo being Barolo, and Nebbiolo being Nebbiolo, the wine’s genes command attention, but there is a slight lack of vitality that holds this wine back from a top score. 15
