Richard Mayson: Beautifully integrated on the nose, restrained use of oak allowing creamy fruit withatouch of spice to show through (Maria Gomes grape?); gentle, creamy flavors backed up by minerally acidity. Lovely now and over the next five years. 17.5
Charles Metcalfe: Rich, barrel-fermented character. Intense, savory, lean. High acid, with lean, savory flavors and notes of bread and lemon. There’s a hint of candied lemon peel as well, and a slight woodiness. Perhaps the barrel-fermentation character is a little strong. 13.5
Joanna Simon: Great intensity of rich green fruit, spice, and mineral aromas and flavors on a framework of firm acidity. Concentrated flavors, creamy texture, and long, lingering finish, but the oak is a little heavyweight, and there’s a little heat on the finish. 16.5
