Richard Mayson: Very restrained for the Douro on the nose: gentle mountain fruit with some underlying depth. Similarly gentle on the palate: minerally yet ripe, and the fruit expresses itself beautifully right the way through to the finish. A near-perfect example of a Douro white. 17.5
Charles Metcalfe: Interestingly complex, with quite an aromatic lift, possibly from Moscatel. Honeyed, just a whisper of residual sugar. Good, interestingly flavored white, probably inexpensive, and commercially appealing. More an apéritif style for me than with food. Aftertaste has a clove-like note. 13
Joanna Simon: Aromatic, fresh, sweet, floral tangerine and apricot aromas, with some fresh dill and woodsmoke. Intense, elegant palate, with sweet, fresh fruit, herbs and mineral notes framed by subtle oak. Textured mid-palate. Lovely clarity. 17.5
