Richard Mayson: Nose suggests a more traditional style of wine, ripe and minerally, withatouch of beeswax; still quite taut, with more to give on both nose and palate; well-balanced, lovely acidity; this should develop well in bottle over 5–10 years. 16.5
Charles Metcalfe: Honeyed, gentle, with a hint of orange peel. Highish acidity, with lean lemon-and-honey fruit. There’s a tang of salt to this, a seaside note, with bracing, breezy acidity and lean, green appley fruit. 14.5
Joanna Simon: Deep, ripe apple and pear aromas with nutty, wheaty oak. Full, concentrated palate, rich, sweet apple and green fruit balanced by persuasive acidity, suave texture; good length. Just a little oaky at present. 16.5
