Richard Mayson: Attractive, restrained, ripe, creamy fruit aromas; similarly ripe yet well-balanced and taut on the palate, leading to a soft, creamy finish, very well-integrated oak allowing the ripe, seemingly old-vine fruit to express itself on the finish. Good balance. 17
Charles Metcalfe: Big, rich, opulent, oaky, with tropical fruits and a hint of grassy freshness. Good wine, made in the rich, ripe, Alentejo style. It’s big and slightly brash, but has lovely tropical fruits and good acidity (probably adjusted). No wimp, this. 15.5
Joanna Simon: Nose dominated by vanilla-oak aromas that give a banana flatness to the fruit. Good intensity and weight of ripe, fresh green fruit on the palate, but the oak dominates the fruit, broadens the palate and takes the precision away. 14
