BUY THE WINE

Richard Mayson: Lovely, scented, subtropical fruit on the nose, ripe and round on the palate, creamy, ripe, warm-country flavors on a backdrop of savory oak. Very appealing now but not a wine to keep. (Viognier?) 16

Charles Metcalfe: Creamy, oaky notes, with some minerality and tangy aromas. Crisp, highish acidity, and some creamy barrel-fermented texture and buttery malo flavor. Hints of bananas and lemons. No great length. 14

Joanna Simon: Nose and palate dominated by sweet vanilla oak. Fine, fresh fruit underneath and gentle balancing acidity, but too much oak. 14.5
