Richard Mayson: Much more overt than its peers: oak over green-apple fruit on the nose and palate; oak gets the upper hand initially, though it allows the fresh apple and pear fruit to express itself again on the finish. 16
Charles Metcalfe: Slightly woody nose, with very ripe honey and tropical fruits behind. This is a little too resinous for me, though it does have some lovely tropical-fruit flavors and good acidity. But the barrel work is a little overbearing, though not to an unpleasant extent. 14
Joanna Simon: Crisp, fresh-apple aroma, but quickly overtaken by toasty vanilla oak, which dominates nose and palate. Good fruit concentration, structure, and acidity, but vanilla oak flavors them. 14.5
