Richard Mayson: Open, ripe, and rather loose-knit on the nose; rather overt use of toasty oak, soft, ripe and already mature on the palate, with the oak overpowering the fruit and leading to a rather flat finish dominated by oaky tannins. 13.5
Charles Metcalfe: Very oaky, almost resinous. More than I want. Oaky character carries through to the palate, with lemony fruit and highish acidity. Oak flavor plays too great a part in this for me to feel I’m able to enjoy the wine. 10
Joanna Simon: Oak-dominated nose, but lots of green-fruit freshness underneath. Concentrated, tight, green fruit on the palate; intensely mineral and savory. High but balanced acidity, but more oak than it needs. 16.5
