Essi Avellan: Very deep, glossy, traffc-light red in color. Powerful, lifted, red-berry nose, without autolytic complexity, straightforward and bland. Wide, opulent palate full of fresh red fruitiness but nothing more. Good freshness but has tannin. 12

Simon Field: Vulgar and irrevocably unappealing. 6

Tom Stevenson: Medium rose color, with oxidative and volatile-acid aromas. Tried a second bottle, which was fresh at first, with no evidence of either oxidative or VA aromas, but the palate was exactly the same, and the nose soon took on VA, with oxidative aromas appearing shortly after. Cannot say we did not give the wine every chance. 9.5
