Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, very nearly opaque at the core. Cool plum fruit and hedgerow trimmings in round-contoured, low-focus style. There’s a quiet tarry warmth behind too, though. Soft, full, round, vivid, with apple in among the plums. More deeply fruited than many—no issues of dilution here. But the ripeness is mixed, the soft tannins subdued. | 88
