Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, though no longer opaque. Freshly leafy, cool, urgent, and lively; a whiff of damp coal. Bright and acidic, taut and pippy. Impressive concentration and depth, though, so if you don’t mind the very cool style, this will be a wine of interest at a fair price. | 88

Michael Schuster | A nice ripe fruit to smell here, above a light gravel impression and a hint of herbs; light, crisp in acidity, lightly dry in tannin. Crisply ripe red fruit to taste, of modest scope and length; good, but in the year’s more austere style all the same. I’m not sure quite how much bottle age will mellow this? Now to 2027. | 86
