Michel Bettane: Tender, rich, elegant, well balanced but, by comparison, less “roasted” and intense than Fargues or Raymond Lafon. Evident improvement but not yet a super first. 17
Thierry Desseauve: Lighter gold, orange and lemon marmalade, creamy and supple, pleasant. 16.5
Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; intense, minerally, and Semillon waxy nose; rich middleweight, with a lively acidity; very sweet, pure, subtly mineral-backed flavor, very long and graceful across the palate, with a racy vitality, long and spicy to finish. At last, a really fine expression of this great terroir, which so often seemed to be underperforming in the recent past. Elegant, effortless wine, with great intensity, vitality, and class. Now to 2040+. 18
