Jasper Morris: fine, medium-deep purple, a bit of reduction here. It is rather backward today. This certainly has power and energy and there is no reason why a three-year-old Musigny shouldn’t be backward. The finish indicates that there is a great deal behind. Every time I go back to this it gains though, and there is an extraordinary intensity of fruit lurking behind. In the end it bursts into a sublime concentration of flavor. 19.5

Roy Richards: Very pure and luxurious, more restraint than the previous courtesan. Great density. This needs more time. 19
