Jesús Barquín: The nose reveals meat stew, nuts, eau de cologne (evident alcohol, perhaps because it is served slightly warmer than others). The palate is complex and expressive, very well-balanced structure and flavors dominated by ripe cherry and plums. Good finesse and length. 16
Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, virtually opaque. Porty, herby, essence of cherry nose. Good example of the less concentrated style; fine acid backbone and tannins in place, with bitter twist at back and good length. 16
Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red in color. Earthy, rich, faintly feral in scent: an engaging melange, but not sublime. Warm, full, earthy, grunty, lots of bass notes here; this is my kind of wine, as a tannin-loving, extract-addicted wine-tasting dude. But it is not aromatically precise in any way, nor is it particularly classic in its allusions; there is none of the seduction or charm that we associate with the Veronese hills. My score is, thus, a compromise. 16.5
