BUY THE WINE

Jesús Barquín: Very deep, concentrated color. The nose is marked by alcohol, with sharp herbal notes and eau de cologne, and a background of orange blossom that is not too clean either. Similar palate, with drying hot finish. 11.5

Nicolas Belfrage: Deep, opaque. Wood and herb plus cherry-berry fruit on nose. Nicely balanced palate, with sweetness cut by tannins. Acid and tannins giving firm structure in balance. Quite hefty but has type. 16.5

Andrew Jefford: Saturated, dense black-red. Red fruits and black fruits, but this is another of the wines that come over aromatically as a little tanky or soupy, with some jamminess; lacks aromatic precision. On the palate, it is smooth, soft, round, adequate, but not truly a contender when it comes to the search for greatness. 12.5
