Jesús Barquín: Less deep color than average. Spicy nose with a vegetal note. Similar palate with drying tannin. Short fruit-wise, a note of wine gums, slightly medicinal. 11.5

Nicolas Belfrage: This wine is perfectly okay but a bit dilute, which raises the question, What is Amarone? Should it be big and rich, or relatively light? My preference is for the big, rich style, which seems to me to epitomize Amarone. This wine, perfectly well made, lacks the oomph of a top Amarone, though it has a very commendable drinkability. 14

Andrew Jefford: Dark glowing black garnet red. Very Bretty nose. Spoiled palate. Alas, no. 7
