Stephen Brook: Straw. Sweet heady nose, apple but also pineapple, as well as tropical-fruit aromas— thus has great aromatic charm. Rich but firm, with an appealing stoniness, as well as ample voluptuous fruit. Good acidity keeps it focused and also gives some elegance. Long lively finish and, overall, a very successful southern French (I assume) example. 17
Alex Hunt: A curious nose, giving an impression of Viognier richness without any specific varietal aromas. It is fairly peardroppy, with fruit tones that could as well be Pinot Gris as Viognier. The palate continues in the same vein: good balance, satisfying texture, very even in the mouth, and with a certain mineral aspect that lends focus. Varietal specificity and a bit of concentration are the only things missing. 13.5
Andrew Jefford: A full bright lemony gold. Sweet, warm, thick: a soft mist of almond and banana. Attractive. Vivid, fresh, lively, nutty, and warm, with more banana and dried peach. Another well-drawn, sincere varietal with drinkable balance and poise, though nothing sublime. 15
