Nicolas Belfrage: Medium with some turn. Sweet ripe cherry on nose, very inviting. Lacks a little brightness of acidity but evolved and concentrated, complex and subtle. A pleasure to drink now but should last several years. 16.5
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to thin tawny rim. Broad, touch decadent nose, with tobacco, leather, dried prunes, tobacco leaf, and cinnamon. Medium body with sweet prune fruit, and balanced clean finish with plentiful tannic grip. Mature, classic red wine. 17.5
Stephen Brook: Deep to very deep red. Hefty plummy nose; powerful, and seems to have a good dose of “other” varieties. Rich, velvety, and concentrated, with good depth of fruit and considerable power, this has some spicy, toasty, oak, acidic bite, and a hint of alcohol. Not especially elegant, but it’s sumptuous and has swagger. But it doesn’t seem obviously Tuscan. 17
