Nicolas Belfrage: Quite deep, neutral rim. Pleasant berry-cherry fruit arising. Nicely balanced palate with cherry fruit tempered by bright acid and sufficient but not excessive tannin, little bitterness at back. A punter’s Sangiovese, showing well now but with years to run. 16
Bruno Besa: Corked. NS
Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Muted nose, black cherries, quite oaky. Suave attack, very ripe, quite opulent and silky, with no lack of concentration. The acidity is quite assertive now, but I think this will go the distance though it needs time to harmonize. Poised and long. 18
