Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth. Herbs and cherry fruit on nose. Lively palate, with bright acidity against sweet fruit tempered by a slight bitter hit of tannin. Good type and nice balance. 16
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to pink rim. Open spicy nose with cedarwood, tobacco, prunes, blackberries, and a graphite-like minerality. Refined, full-bodied palate with great tannic structure and a long, slightly astringent finish. A very good, mature, full-bodied Sangiovese. 17.5
Stephen Brook: Deep red. Ripe juicy cherry nose. Supple, velvety, certainly rich and full-bodied, but any overripeness is kept in check, and there’s plenty of spice and zip on the finish. For all the ripeness, it’s quite a small-scale wine and doesn’t overwhelm. Quite long. 16.5
