Nicolas Belfrage: Deepish, with neutral rim. Some berry on nose, not loud. Well-made wine if not inspiring, with fruit in one place, structure in another. Perhaps needs time to come together. 14

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to orange rim. Intense, mature yet restrained red-fruit nose, with hints of leather, tobacco, and violets. Medium- to full-bodied, with layered red and black fruit and clean, balanced, and long finish. A classic Tuscan red wine with great structure. 17.5

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Super-ripe oaky nose, black cherries—luxurious but also has some lift. Medium-bodied, quite concentrated, less imposing on the palate than the nose—which is no bad thing— and this has grip, as well as texture and acidity. But the palate is dominated by this suave, creamy character rather than by the refreshing zip of Sangiovese. Quite good length. 16
