Jesús Barquín: Concentrated nose of graphite and very ripe black fruit. Again, very ripe palate, though focused by good acidity. Powerful but fine tannins, pretty impressive. Perhaps too powerful. 15.5
Alex Hunt: Pretty, quite developed aromas, with red fruit as well as black, and a little bit of pepper. Still quite tight and firm on the palate: I have worries about divergent evolution of fruit and structure here. 15
Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red. Warm, raisiny, yet heady and intoxicating, too. Lush, full, expansive; warm, open, and elemental, with very low acidity and, as usual, the compensatory force from stone and skin. Good to very good wine in the excessive style of the place. A slightly varnishy finish. 16
