Jesús Barquín: The nose is marked by toasty oak notes that, at present, mask (smother, really) the fruit. This fruit emerges later on the palate rather neatly, though, with Grenache notes of ripe strawberries, correct acidity, and again a fairly oaky finish. We shall see what—fruit or oak—wins with time. 14
Alex Hunt: That contented, peachy aroma of fruit at optimum ripeness. This has length, grip, focus, and weight: really superb balance. Not the biggest or most flamboyant Priorat, but a poised, accessible wine. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Dense, deep black-red. Rich, spicy, warm, perfumed; perhaps a touch of bake (and oak, too). Sweet, full, with medium levels of concentration; plenty of minerals lurk in the tannin-extract complex. A little dry at the end palate, but this is a drinkable, exuberant Priorat with ample sense of place. 15.5
