BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Deep lemon. Soft, luxuriously toasty and coffee-toned nose, with sweet, super-ripe fruitiness. Intense and pronounced palate, with brisk acidity and autumnal hues. | 91

Simon Field | Oatmeal color, soft oatmeal, stucco after rain. Nose is evolved, a little unresolved: mature apples or honeysuckle; both maybe. Neat grip, hints of pine, quite plump structurally. Shards of acidity hold it together, hints of leaf and tobacco. Elegant on the finish. | 92

Anthony Rose | Mid-gold in color, this is lightly smoky and toasty in aroma, showing nice nutty complexity, albeit still youthfully tight. The palate is tightly woven and full-flavored, with seductive ripe apple and peach fruit, a layering of honeycomb and toast, and an energetic, lively, appley bite on a tangy, dry finish. | 96
