BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Very up-front nose, pure, open, complex, balanced, very pretty texture, great length, but it doesn’t compare with the top wine of Léoville and suffers even from this. It rivals easily, however, with many classed growths. | 16.5

Michael Schuster | Crisp nose, gravelly, and very Cabernet Sauvignon; fresh, medium-depth wine, fine-textured, lightly to moderately tannic; light and pure gravel-infused, redcurrant flavor, fresh, of modest complexity and good, gently sweet-fruit persistence. Very much a lighter expression of the vineyards, elegant, fresh, pure, but lacking substance. 2018–25. | 15.5
