BUY THE WINE

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Very nice red-fruit nose (cherries dominate), full and precise, typical of 2013, fresh and clean, with racy tannins. | 16.5

Michael Schuster | Very dark color; quite extracty to smell, dense, mineral, almost raisiny ripe; a fairly big wine, tannic, chewy, and also with a vigorous acidity—vin de garde proportions. A mass of fruit, acidity, tannin to taste, where the structure makes the subtleties difficult to see for the moment, but with good, vivid, red-fruit length. Muscular for the vintage and with a future difficult to predict, needing at least a decade to mellow, I imagine. 2022–32. | 16.5
