Andrew Jefford | Deep, saturated, purple-black-red, still opaque. Fresh and sweet, almost with a crystallized-blackcurrant or confit-cherry style; pretty and perfumed. Less “freshness” than many and no hint of greenness at all. Soft-textured but textured, and the fruit (as the nose suggested) is riper than many and less arrow-head-like or steel-blade-like. Attractive drinking, and a Pessac-Léognan that is a little more Graves-like than many of its peers (meant as a compliment: soft and earthy). Ample concentration, too; gratifying. | 90
Michael Schuster | Both red and black fruit and a light gravelly presence to smell; light to medium-full, fresh to crisp in acidity, light in tannin. Softly ripe red-fruit in flavor, limited in scope and length. A pleasing, straightforward style, to drink young and cool with bread and cheese. Now to 2026. | 86
