BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, just-off opaque. Warm and ripe, with sweet blackcurrants and subtle empyreumatics (coffee and toast). Quiet vanilla. Classical and enticing. Some hedge clippings emphasize the freshness of the year. Cool, intense, fresh, shapely, and blackcurrant-packed. Smooth, with little tannin. Very bright, fruity acidity, so nothing too gaunt here, despite the fact that the wine is acid-balanced. More of a taste on tannin on the finish than the texture of tannin in the mid-palate, indeed. | 88

Michael Schuster | Lightly mineral-tinged nose, with the merest hint of herbaceousness. Medium-full, fresh in acidity, finely tannic. Gently juicy and red-fruit crisp in flavor; modestly complex, but here, too, with an attractive ripeness within the overall tautness of the year. Now to 2027. | 87
