Some hedge clippings emphasize the freshness of the year. Cool, intense, fresh, shapely, and blackcurrant-packed. Smooth, with little tannin. Very bright, fruity acidity, so nothing too gaunt here, despite the fact that the wine is acid-balanced. More of a taste on tannin on the finish than the texture of tannin in the mid-palate, indeed. | 88

Michael Schuster | Lightly mineral-tinged nose, with the merest hint of herbaceousness. Medium-full, fresh in acidity, finely tannic. Gently juicy and red-fruit crisp in flavor; modestly complex, but here, too, with an attractive ripeness within the overall tautness of the year. Now to 2027. | 87
