BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Scented, engaging, enticing nose. Still very primary, but the fruit is direct and floral, with plenty of supporting acidity and minerality. Stylish oak, orange zest, and red-berry fruit, fine tannins, and a long finish. Modern and appealing. | 97

Simon Field | Deep plum color, then a charming and warming nose of rosehip, briary, redcurrants, and quince; the palate is equally appealing; soft hedgerow fruits dominate, with a pixilated precision to the structure, which invites early consumption and no lack of pleasure. Greenness cedes to notes of juniper and quinine, and the citric acidity upholds the rigor of structure. | 93

Andrew Jefford | Dark, clear black-red. Cherry and strawberry fruits, and also a plant, seaweed-like note: sweetly attractive overall, though not quite singingly classical. Brisk, currant and plum fruits with that same backlit filter of plant-like warmth and vegetal presence. I like the wine, though it is not in any way noble or fine; soundly enjoyable and characterful, too. | 88
