Tim Atkin | Engaging and complex, with good reduction. Youthful, sappy, and chalky, with fine tannins, lots of focus, subtle oak, layered filigree tannins, and a fresh, balanced finish. Superb Rioja with the potential to age for 10+ years. | 97
Simon Field | Full-bodied in every sense; dense color and firm balsamic aromatic, a velvet cushion, dark and luxurious; oak-infused mocha with hints of nutmeg and soft coconut; a wine with personality and a spicy, thought-provoking appeal in the mouth. The finish is reassuringly fine, too. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Deep, dense black-red, just beginning to lose its opacity. Tender aromas, with soft fruits and a nuanced sweetness: very attractive and pure. Deft, light, graceful, and delicately crafted: understated yet convincing. A beautiful, svelte wine. It has age in its legs, and there is tannin and extract as well as fruit-perfumed acidity. But all is in proportion, which is not always the case in this tasting. Excellent. | 92
