Tim Atkin | Urbina style? Complex, savory, and mature. Light, elegant, and refreshing with rose petal and wild-strawberry fruit, tobacco, and dried- herb flavors, ultra-balsamic, long, refined, and tapering. | 93
Simon Field | Rather a dignified auburn blood-brick hue; nose of autumnal leaves, pata negra, and membrillo; the palate is volatile, uniquely uplifting in more ways than one, however, with chestnuts, bitter chocolate, and sous-bois; deft acidity runs through the piece, rapier-like in its defense of the imputation of senescence. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Dark, deep black-red, no longer opaque and just beginning to brick toward the meniscus. Very savory, leathery, open, and tertiary now, with lots of mushroom warmth and forest underbrush. Even a touch of lemon peel and lavender—so much there. Super-evolved but highly enjoyable. On the palate, this is still a voluminous, dense, energetic, and expansive wine, with a wide range of allusions on offer. Rich, but fresh and vital, and even now no hurry to drink. | 93
