BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Inky, youthful, and dense, with lots of spicy, smoky oak on the nose and on the attack. This is a little firm, dry, and toasty right now, but it should come together in bottle over the next three to five years. | 93

Simon Field | Impressive depth of concentration, dark color: Midnight-black at the core, with a purple rim. The nose is oaky, graphite and pencil shavings to the fore, hints of white tobacco, and a patina of dark fruit in support. The palate is voluptuous, rich, spicy and young, creamy indulgence of wild strawberry and griotte; a tight, chalky grip and a firm finish. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark purple-red, with some opacity. Rather fresh wood on the nose, but the alluring early-season plum is palpable too. Dense and concentrated on the palate, with a heavy cloak of oak but impressively deep and vibrant fruits. I find it frankly too woody just now, but there might be benefit in aging this in the hope that the wood softens. | 85
