Tim Atkin | Floral, scented, rose-petal aromas. Engaging and enticing. Grenache-based or varietal? Nice acidity, subtle oak. Fresh and tangy. Bright and youthful with some minerality and underlying chalkiness. The alcohol is a little warming on the finish. | 93
Simon Field | Ruby-red, pink rimmed, modest concentration, but an immediately fascinating nose, dominated by laurel, angelica root, and mint, the fruit obediently complicit in memorable counterpoint. On the palate, youthful reticence takes over, chalky grip and rather sulky damson fruit, maybe reluctant to cede ground to the more interesting subplot of spice, juniper, and sous-bois. I suspect that this will pull together over the next three years and may well have the sea legs for a longer voyage. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep plum red. Plump, savory and affable scents, though without huge finesse or refinement. Smooth, simple, straightforward wine in which the fruit takes a satisfactory lead. | 82
