Simon Field | Bright, plush ruby-red, just a modest fade at the rim; nothing overworked it seems. This thought is confirmed on the nose: red and black fruit dance a pas de deux; wild strawberry and Morello cherry; soft raspberry and myrtle; all supported by spice (cinnamon, aniseed, and cumin) and a scenic backdrop of schistous minerals and chalk. The complexity has not endangered the purity of the message, however, and both the ripeness of the fruit and the linear poise of the structure engage without in any way trying to hold court. Elegant mid-palate fruit and a poised, neat denouement, with, one can safely surmise, a happy ending. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Sweet, warm, fresh, with some moist hay and menthol complexities over sweet plum fruits. Very pretty aromatics. A lively, zesty palate, with plenty to enjoy, both in terms of sweet yet fresh fruits and in terms of nascent secondary complexities. Toward the tart rather than the ample side of the Terrasses du Larzac spectrum, but balanced and digestible nonetheless. | 90
Anthony Rose | Mid-ruby, this smells fresh and shows plenty of squishy, soft, red fruit in the mouth before some quite drying tannins kick in halfway through the mouthful of fruit to signal a premature ending to one’s enjoyment. | 86
