Simon Field | Phosphorescence in the swell; the ravens gather above the prow. A precocious aromatic of woodsmoke, pepper, and mace. Behind this, blue fruit and a hint of soapstone; the palate is youthful, a little forward, red fruits in the ascendant at the moment, but the structure will repay patience. A broad pavonine finish ennobles with heraldic potential. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Dark, opaque black-red. Soft, warm, and sweet, with blackcurrant pastille fruits plus a little raisin and plum pie. Full, frank, and forthright, with a broad beam and adequate intensity; fine tannins and lively acidity. Exuberant young Malbec. | 88
Anthony Rose | Vivid and dense in color, this is showing notes of primary dark berry fruit and a hint of oak spice. An appealing fruit sweetness assails the tongue when you first taste it. The oak is nicely integrated, and the warmth and power follow through, soon framed by an almost chewy and even slightly salty dry tannin, acting as a refreshingly bitter counterpoint to the dark fruit flavors. | 91
