Andrew Jefford | Bright steel-gold. Sweet and clean: lanolin and linen napkins. Lots of pear behind, and autumn apple, and sweet unoxidized cider. Lovely; complex. That cider (the best sort) is there in the flavor, too, though without any oxidation; it’s just that this Riesling needs to express itself by talking about apples. Long, deep, firm, articulate, aromatically complex (we get beyond apples, too, toward nuts and twigs), and the lanolin freshness and sweet resource intensifies the pleasure further. Grand stuff. | 92

Stephan Reinhardt | Very clear and deep on the elegant nose, with finely flinty notes of crushed wet slate and salts to open this full-bodied, round, and juicy Riesling, which is intense and mouth-filling, as well as powerful and juicy on the palate. Maybe not as defined as [the Peter Jakob Kühn Oestricher Doosberg Riesling Trocken] but from a similar terroir and with more focus on immediate pleasures. The acidity is saline and combined with fine tannins that give a certain grip on the dry and clean finish. Excellent Riesling. 2022–45. | 94

Anthony Rose | Pale in color, there a gentle note of spiciness behind a floral fragrance, a light spritz on the tongue, and plenty of full-bodied, opulently peachy fruit, which is concentrated and long in flavor, with a chunkiness of texture and dry finish that makes this ultra-food-friendly. | 92
