Michel Bettane: Spicy nose, earthy northern Médoc solid tannin, some intensity, complex finish, perhaps a hint of dilution. 16
Thierry Desseauve: Lively and energetic, with seductive red-fruit aromas. Could be more concentrated but perfectly balanced. 16.5
Michael Schuster: Ripe and minerally nose; less mineral than usual to taste, but warm, plump, generous, and full of ripe fruit behind the very fine tannin; positively juicy for Sociando, a nice complexity and gentle fruit length. A lovely, natural, flowing beverage claret that will be accessible earlier than many. 2018–30. 16.5+
