Simon Field | Mid-gold, withatouch of green; long legs betray a keen viscosity. The fruit character is only marginally exotic, the botrytic hold keenly felt and authoritative throughout, the finish poised and complete, stone fruits and hints of sour honey, too... | 90
Andrew Jefford | Bright buttercup yellow. Rich, layered, and nuanced, with ample botrytis and crème anglaise richness coating the nectarine, pineapple, and peach. Real finesse here, too, in the “second wine de Suduiraut” (back label). Succulent, full, rich, deep, and sweet, with delicious layers of nuts and cream and frangipane around those same tremblingly ripe summer fruits. Very fine, generous, and extravagant. Perhaps it doesn’t quite have quite the inner tension to make old bones, but there will be a huge amount to enjoy in the interim. Glorious, unashamed sensual pleasure here. | 92
